Letter: Camillo Deserving of Cos Cob Fire Police Chief's Award

Greenwich Selectman Drew Marzullo thanks sponsors and supporters of the fire police patrol's inaugural benefit where Camillo was honored.

To the Editor:

Last Saturday night, hundreds of town residents and officials came out in support of the all-volunteer patrol division of the Greenwich Fire Department when the Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol had their first annual fundraiser.

Held at the beautiful Greenwich Country Day School, Representative Fred Camillo received the inaugural Chief's Award for his dedication to the fire police community. Fred truly deserved this award, and the attendance of so many of his family and friends showed just how appreciative he was to be honored. The entire Connecticut state delegation, Greenwich Selectmen, members of the finance and legislative branches, and United States Senator Richard Blumenthal all came out to congratulate Rep. Camillo and once again express gratitude and lend unequivocal support to the Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol.

Since 1927, "patrol" has provided a wide variety of crucial support roles. They serve the entire town and are an integral part of Greenwich emergency services.
To the volunteers of Cos Cob Fire Patrol, thank you for all you do.

Thank you to the many sponsors and families who made Saturday night possible, especially Barbara and Ray Dalio for their generous contribution. And a big thank you to the event organizers...it was a great night!

Drew Marzullo
Greenwich Selectman
