The Coolest New Tech Toys! (That no one has seen)

Check out some cool new stuff that not even for sale yet!

Often times we come across things in our daily readings or research here at MacInspires that peak our interest.  Maybe some new app or a cool new case for our Apple stuff, but sometime we come across new technologies or really cool innovations that may or may not be then next great thing, but either way we think they are pretty cool. So we thought we might share a few of the new things that people are talking about that could be the next great leap in technology.

The first new product that is out now, but very hard to get is the Pebble Watch. A sleek stylish little wrist watch that connects to your iPhone via Bluetooth. By pairing with your iPhone the Pebble watch becomes like a little information center for incoming info on your phone. It gives you the following information:

Incoming Caller ID
Email (Gmail or any IMAP email account)
Text Messages
iMessage (iOS only)
Calendar Alerts
Facebook Messages
Twitter
Weather Alerts
Silent vibrating alarm and timer

This is all really cool stuff to have available on your watch. The way it works is that when you have your iPhone in your purse or pocket and you get a new text message, email, or have an incoming call you can look at your watch and and see who it is and then decide if you want to fish your phone out and deal with it. We think this is a super cool new way of interacting with your iPhone and has tons of potential down the road for some really great universal applications.

The other cool new product thats coming out in a few months is the new Leap Motion Controller for Macs. This a tiny $79 box that connects to your Mac and then allows you to control various applications on your computer with hand gestures. This may not seem like the most practical thing for you in your life but separate from the technology being cool it really opens up some amazing possibilities down the road for everyday practical use. Some of the current uses for the Leap  Motion Controller:

Use your finger to draw rather than a stylus. Interact with 3D modeling software in a much more proactive and dynamic way. You can click, grab, scroll and pinch using just your hands. Sign forms with just your finger. Game online with no remote control. All of there are just a few things you can do with the device and it has endless possibilities. Think of a surgeon who during surgery needs to control the cameras or computer driven programs he uses during surgery, He has always relied on someone else to do this for him as he can not take his surgical gloves off, but now can control everything he needs with just hand gestures.

These are just a couple of the neat new things we have come across in our tech travels and there are always new innovations being born every day that we love to share with other people. If you have seen something new that you think is really cool from a technology standpoint let us know! You never know, we might even sell it!
