Bilingual Kids

How important is for you, as a mom, have your child learning a second language from your nanny? I believe it is really nice a child learning at home instead going to a specific school. Children can learn spanish, french, portuguese, chinese or any other language from someone that he or she trusts and spending a few hours a day together, is easier and less boring.

A mom can pick her nanny the same way she used to years ago, but now she has the option of refine her search with language. Just choose a language that will fit better to your child now and later. Don't be afraid of your child speaking another language at home that you don't understand, show support and learn with them. Im sure your child would love to teach you something.A child listening day by day another language is the same when they learn for the first time speak english. More that you talk with them, more they learn. Parents encourage kids and nannies to exchange culture and language, one day will make a difference in this kids life.

My native language is Portuguese, all the kids i nanny for knows some words. They know more about my culture, what is my country and the amazing Brazilian Soccer. But i don't spend time teaching them my language, they learned most of it listening when i speak with someone or when I'm listening brazilian songs.Spanish is the biggest language after english, anywhere you go the first option is for spanish speaking. Television offers spanish cartoons, like Dora The Explorar and Go Diego Go. At the Libraries the options of kids spanish books are amazing.

No one can say that spanish or any other language in this country is limited, because it is not.
