Catherine Troisi, 95; Seamstress, Sacred Heart Parishioner

Calling hours will be held Monday; the funeral will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5.

 

Catherine Troisi, a seamstress, of Greenwich passed away on Jan. 31, 2013. She was 95.

She was born Aug. 16, 1917, at United Hospital in Port Chester, NY, to the late Charles and Christina (Spadaro) Repaci.

Catherine was a seamstress and enjoyed cooking, bingo, and spending time with her family. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and was a member of the Rosary Guild.

Catherine is survived by a daughter JoAnn D’Andrea (Joseph), her sons Joseph Troisi (Theresa), Louis Troisi; her sisters Mary McGrath and Freida Murano; grandchildren Jody DeLuca, Joseph D’Andrea III, Jennifer Prieto, Jeffrey D’Andrea, Jay D’Andrea, Joseph Troisi, Jason Troisi, and Gregory Troisi. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.

Catherine was predeceased by her beloved husband Louis Troisi in 1998. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a sister Martha Romanello and a brother Anthony Repaci.

Family and friends may visit at the Castiglione Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday, Feb. 4 from 5 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Sacred Heart Church in Byram. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Greenwich.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
