Dorothy Carvette Siciliano, 90, Retired School Secretary

Funeral services are set for Feb. 9.

 

Dorothy Carvette Siciliano, a resident of Greenwich for 90 years and a retired school secretary, died Feb.1, at The Nathaniel Witherell nursing home.

Born April 26, 1922 in Greenwich, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Charles and Louise Belmont Carvette.

She was a 1940 graduate of Greenwich High School. She had been employed by the Greenwich Board of Education for 44 years before retiring in 1984 from the Cos Cob School.

She was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church. Dorothy was an avid golfer and bowler. She was a member of the Hubbard Heights Women's Golf Association, the Women's International Bowling Congress, Early Birds Bowling League and the Greenwich Teachers Bowling League.

Surviving are her son Peter Siciliano and his wife Rebecca of Darien; two granddaughters Meredith Carper and her husband Keith of Darien and Tabitha Wunderlich and her husband Carl of Old Greenwich; and three great-grandchildren, Tatum and Tucker Wunderlich and Troy Carper.

Dorothy was predeceased by her sisters Beatrice Vidone and Caroline Capalbo and her brother Charles Carvette.

There will be a celebration of Dorothy's life at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb, 9 at The Nathaniel Witherell Chapel, 70 Parsonage Rd., Greenwich, CT 06830. Burial will be private.

Donations may be made in her memory to The Nathaniel Witherell Patient Trust Fund.

Arrangements are by the Castiglione Funeral Home.
