Joseph W. Labate of Greenwich died peacefully on July 19.
He was the son of Asunta Minitti Labate and Antonio Labate.
Mr. Labate was employed by Electrolux and the Greenwich School system. He and his wife Helen enjoyed sharing the lives of their nieces and nephews as well as their great- and great-great nieces and nephews.
He is survived by brothers Charles of Ocala, and John of Trumbull.
His beloved wife, Helen Kural Labate and brothers Frank of Mamaroneck, Vincent of Harrison, Anthony of Port Chester, and sister Mary of North Haven, predeceased him.
Friends may call at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch St., Greenwich, from 4 to 8 p.m. July, 24.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. July, 25 at Sacred Heart Church, 95 Henry St., Greenwich. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, North Street, Greenwich.
