Greenwich Alliance Turkey Trot
When: Saturday, Nov. 26, 9 a.m.

Details: Do good while burning calories. For just $20, you can enjoy a post-Thanksgiving run while helping to raise money for the Greenwich Alliance for Education.

Mr. Christmas Tree Club Pageant
When: Wednesday, Nov. 30, 7:30-9 p.m.
Where: Old Greenwich Civic Center, 90 Harding Rd., Old Greenwich, CT
Details: At Young Life of Greenwich’s annual Mr. Christmas Tree Club pageant, a male representative of each class in Greenwich High School competes in a "swimsuit" competition, answers a question, and demonstrates his talent. The culmination of the night will be the parade of trees, where organizers will use duct tape to connect decorated trees to participants and they will parade around the room vying for the title of Mr. Christmas Tree. There will be a donation jar, and proceeds of the event will benefit the Abilis Foundation.
Greenwich Toys for Tots Drive
When: Saturday, Dec. 10, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Where: Cos Cob Volunteer Fire Company, 200 E. Putnam Ave., Greenwich, CT
Details: Bring your new toys or a check payable to “Toys for Tots” to the 11th annual Greenwich Toys for Tots Drive. Marines will pop by and do a pick up at 1 p.m. in a 7-ton vehicle.
Letters to Santa Campaign
When: Through Monday, Dec. 19
Where: Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets, 20 Killingworth Tpke., Clinton, CT
Details: While you’re at the outlets searching for bargains, stop by the Management Office at Clinton Crossing to pick up a child's letter to Santa, provided by Clinton Social Services. Details of how you can help a child in need will be provided on site.
Burlington Factory Coat Drive
When: Through Jan. 16, 2012
Where: Burlington Coat Factory, 74 Broad St., Stamford, CT
Details: Help keep others warm during the cold holidays. Bring gently worn coats to customer service desk and receive 10 percent off a future purchase.
