"Mansa also was arrested by warrant for fraudulently obtaining prescription at a local downtown pharmacy. Those felony charges are forgery and altering of prescription, illegal possession of narcotics and second-degree forgery.

"Mansa had been arrested by Tarrytown New York Police for similar New York charges. Mansa completed his New York sentence on Jan. 10, 2012, he then waived extradition, at which time Greenwich Police Detectives took custody of him and served the Connecticut arrest warrants.

"Mansa was the driver of the getaway vehicle during the Sept. 4, 2010 armed robbery of the Greenview Pharmacy. Mansa's co-conspirator, John Pastore, was arrested by Greenwich Police Detectives on Sept. 28, 2010.

"Pastore entered the pharmacy at approximately 4:24 p.m. on Sept. 4, 2010. He threatened to harm two pharmacists with a large kitchen style knife if they did not give him prescription narcotics. Pastore was given the narcotics and was attempting to leave the pharmacy when he was confronted by a Good Samaritan and a physical struggle ensued.

"Pastore fled the store without any proceeds and entered the awaiting getaway vehicle operated by Mansa."

Mansa was released after posting the $110,000 bond and is scheduled to appear on Jan. 17 in Superior Court in Stamford.
