Alcohol Use Leads to Arrests

A Davis Avenue resident was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after Greenwich Police said they found he broke two windows and a ripped the front door to the home from its frame after a night of drinking.

Luis Froilan Espinoza, 28, of 305 Davis Ave., was arrested early Sunday following the incident.

He was released after posting $500 bond and scheduled to appear March 14 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A Port Chester, NY man was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge early Tuesday after Greenwich Police stopped him for driving without his car headlights turned on.

According to a Greenwich Police report, Reynier Melgar-Arapa, 28, who gave an address of 239 Husted St., was stopped in front of 777 W. Putnam Ave., at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday. Police said  he failed a field sobriety test. He also was ticketed for failure to illuminate headlamps. He was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear March 22 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
