Argument Leads to Arrest; Teen Charged in Vandalism at School Headquarters

A 36-year-old New York City man was arrested on a 2nd-degree breach of peace charge following an argument at the Greenwich train station tax stand late Sunday.

According to a Greenwich Police report, Patrik Solotruk, of 100 Riverside Blvd., New York City, was identified by a witness that he argued and then fought with an unknown victim. Solotruk admitted to arguing with the victim who left the scene before police arrived about 11:30 p.m.

He was released on a promise to appear Aug. 1 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested by Greenwich Police who said they found him and three other youths at the Board of Education headquarters with "fresh spray paint on the wall and the can of paint."

According to a police report, the teen "admitted to spraying the wall and identified another teen who was also spray painting." The incident happened about 2 p.m. July 17 and the suspect was arrested July 28.

The 14-year-old was given a juvenile summons for 3rd-degree criminal mischief and released in the custody of his parents with a promise to appear Aug. 2 in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford.

Greenwich Police are investigating the burglary of a Millers Crossing condominium where several pieces of sterling silver service, jewelry and collectible coins were stolen.

According to Greenwich Police, the owners discovered the theft when they returned their home on Palmers Hill Road July 27 from an extended vacation. A window was forced open, police said. Police would not give a dollar estimate on the value of the missing items but said they were "of significant value."
