Broken Tail Light Leads to DWI Arrest in Greenwich


A motorist who was seen driving with a broken tail light on his white Mitsubishi is facing several motor vehicle charges including driving while intoxicated, according to Greenwich Police.

According to a police report, a records check indicated the license plates should have been on a black Mitsubishi. When an officer stopped the driver, it was found the driver had red, glassy eyes, an odor of alcoholic beverages and failed field sobriety tests, according to the report.

The driver, identified as Ivan Morales Aguilar, 32, of Barbarra Street, West Haven, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to carry insurance card, failure to notify DMV of appearance change, operating without a license (second offensen) and failure to have tail lamps.

Aguilar was released after posting a $250 bond. He is scheduled to appear May 12 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
