Cos Cob Man Charged with DWI

Information supplied by Greenwich Police and does not indicate guilt of convictions.

A Cos Cob man was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge after Greenwich Police stopped him early Wednesday because a headlight and tail light were illuminated.

According to a police report, Justin J. Sierra, 26, of 8 Orchard St., was driving a black Nissan pickup truck on West Putnam Avenue about 2:40 a.m. when an officer noticed the headlight and tail light were not illuminated. The officer said he could smell alcohol and Sierra had glassy eyes. Sierra failed sobriety tests.

In addition to the driving while intoxicated charge he was issued a ticket for having an improper headlight. He posted a $250 bond and was scheduled to appear Aug. 17 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
