Dispute Over Thefts at Greenwich Construction Site Ends with Arrest

A man, described by Greenwich Police as a former employee, was charged with disorderly conduct following a dispute over missing items from a construction site.

According to a police report, the owner of a property on Carpenters Brook Drive reported he was threatened by a former employee. Police say they determined that Manolo Marroquin, 26, of Culloden Road, Stamford, threatened the owner "with a tire iron over accusations of thefts from the property under construction." The incident was reported about 12:45 p.m. Oct. 28.

The police report did not indicate what was reportedly stolen.

Marroquin posted a $100 bond and was scheduled to appear Nov. 4 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
