Drivers Face DWI, Failure to Appear Charges

A central Greenwich resident was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge after being stopped for possible speeding on East Putnam Avenue near Hillside Road early Saturday morning.

Ai Endo, 39, who gave an address of 150 Prospect St., also was charged with failure to drive in a proper lane in connection with the 12:55 a.m. incident Dec. 3, according to Greenwich Police. He was released after posting $250 bond and scheduled to appear Dec. 12 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A motorist involved in a weekend car crash was arrested on several charges including drunk driving.

According to a Greenwich Police report, Nicoli Quijano-Aguiriano, 20, who gave an address of 48 Nelson St., Stamford, was arrested about 2:15 a.m. Sunday, following the crash on Valley Road at Dandy Drive. He is accused of failing sobriety tests. He was charged with driving while intoxicated under the age of 21, operating with a suspended license and following too closely.

Quijano-Aguiriano was released after posting $260 bond and was scheduled to appear Dec. 12 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A Pemberwick Road couple was arrested on disorderly conduct charges following an argument that turned physical.

The 35-year-old man and the 27-year-old woman, who police described as an engaged couple, were arrested in connection with the incident that occurred about 1:45 a.m. Sunday at their home. According to a police report, the woman was "smacked in the face" as a friend of the couple attempted to break up the argument.

The couple was released on a written promise to appear Monday in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Vincent Tummarello, 21, who gave an address of 19 Armstrong Ct., Greenwich, surrendered to police who held several arrest warrants charging him with failure to appear in court.

Tummarello was charged with 4 counts of second-degree failure to appear in court and one count of first-degree failure to appear in court stemming from a December 2010 driving while intoxicated case. He was released after posting $17,500 bond and was scheduled to appear Dec. 12 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A 53-year-old man from the Bronx, NY was arrested by Greenwich Police on first-degree failure to appear in court charge, stemming from his arrest last summer on charges he used a fake prescription at the CVS store in Riverside.

Anthony Spell surrendered to police on Dec. 1. He originally was charged with second-degree forgery, obtaining a controlled drug by fraud and criminal attempt to commit possession of a controlled substance on Aug. 25.

He was held in lieu of $10,000 and scheduled to appear Dec. 2 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A 14-year-old girl was arrested on charges she was involved with the passing of a fake $100 at the CVS pharmacy on Greenwich Avenue.

According to Greenwich Police, the teen was charged with first-degree forgery and interfering with an officer. She is accused of giving police a false name and claiming to be 19 years old in connection with the Nov. 27 incident. According to a police report, police determined that she was 14 and she admitted that she knew that two accomplices had the fake bills.

She was released on a promise to appear Dec. 6 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A wallet was stolen from a car parked at the Dorothy Hamill Skating Rink Sunday afternoon. Greenwich Police said the wallet contained cash and credit cards and that the car was left unlocked. The theft was reported about 4:30 p.m.

The owner of a 1993 Jeep reported that the speedometer and odometer were stolen from the vehicle while it was parked on Riverside Avenue. According to police, the Jeep was left parked in a lot for about 5 days and when the owner returned Sunday afternoon, he found that the dashboard had been removed and the parts missing. The parts were valued at $250.
