Red Light, Green Light: 3 times nets drunken driver

Greenwich Police arrested another driver they say was found asleep at the wheel.

Early Sunday morning, police were summoned to by two motorists who reported they were at a stop light at Delavan Avenue and Frontage Road, behind a driver who stayed at the intersection for four traffic light cycles. Concerned, the motorists parked their car to check on the driver, whom they told police was asleep at the wheel of his car shortly after 4 a.m.

When police arrived, they found the driver, identified as David M. Harvey, 45, of 169 Jackson AVe., Bridgeport, standing outside the car with the ignition keys in his hand. According to a police report, Harvey had the smell of alcohol on his breath, rd, glassy eyes and failed sobriety tests.

Harvey was charged with failure to obey a traffic control devide and driving while intoxicated. he was released on a $500 bond and scheduled to appear Nov. 21 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Police arrested a Greenwich woman after a similar circumstance early Sunday on the Exit 4 exit ramp of Interstate 95.

Not so lucky at Lucky Jeans?

A 60-year-old Greenwich woman was busted on a 6th-degree larceny charge in connection with the Nov. 3 theft of a $99 tunic blouse from the Lucky Jeans store on Greenwich Avenue.

According to Greenwich Police, Cynthia Gordon, of 71 Vinci Dr., was arrested following an incident at the store shortly after noon on Nov. 3. She is accused of being found by store staff with the item in her purse.

Gordon was released on a $100 bond and scheduled to appear Nov. 10 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
