Former Greenwich Pastor Reports to Prison

The former pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Greenwich has reportedly checked in at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn NY.

Michael Moynihan, the former pastor of in , who was after pleading guilty to obstruction charges, has reportedly checked in at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn NY.

According to a report in the Greenwich Time, Moynihan was to report to the "administrative facility" on Sept. 3. The detention center is reportedly used for holding male and female inmates prior to and during court proceedings, as well as inmates serving short sentences.

Moynihan resigned from the church in 2007 amid allegations he used hundreds of thousands of dollars in church funds to pay for personal expenses.

He pleaded guilty in December to the obstruction charge, after federal authorities learned he had misled investigators regarding the misappropriation of funds.
