Greenwich HS Student Accused of Threatening to Stab Staff Member

A 14-year-old Greenwich High School student is facing a second-degree breach of peace charge after threatening to stab a school staff member, according to Greenwich Police.

According to a police report released Dec. 10, the student was issued a juvenile summons in connection with the incident that occurred Nov. 25.

"While in the presence of two teachers at Greenwich High School, the juvenile male stated that he wanted to "stab" another staff member. The juvenile male made the comment due to a decision made by the staff member regarding the juvenile male's status at the school," according to the report filed by School Resource Officer Carlos Franco.

The "comment caused the two staff members who heard the comment to be alarmed," according to the report.

Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray would not comment on further details of the incident.

The teen was scheduled to answer the summons Dec. 17 in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford.
