Greenwich PD Charge Woman with Drunk Driving Following Crash

investigating a report a car struck a tree in the 100 block of Mead Avenue in Byram arrested the driver on a driving while intoxicated charge.

According to a police report, the crash occurred about 10:18 p.m., March 6 and when officers spoke with the driver, she appeared "unsteady on her feet,"  "had extremely slurred speech" and officers could smell alcohol. Victoria Anne Grossman, 25, who gave an address of 260 North St., Rye, NY, reportedly failed field sobriety and breathalyzer tests.

Grossman also ticketed for failulre to signal turn. She was released after posting $250 bond and scheduled to appear March 20 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A 19-year-old Greenwich woman surrendered to Greenwich Police who had an arrest warrant charging her with first-degree failure to appear in court stemming from a domestic violence incident.

Nataly Ospina, who gave an address of 1 LeGrande Ave., Greenwich, surrendered at 5:10 a.m. March 8. She is accused of failing to appear in court on a charge of violating a protection order. Ospina originally was arrested Nov. 19, 2011 following an incident on Prospect Street.

She was held in lieu of $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court March 8.
