Greenwich Police Investigate Crash That Injured 2

Greenwich Police are continuing their investigation of a single-car crash in the Pemberwick neighborhood of Greenwich late Monday which left the driver and a passenger injured.

According to Lt. John Brown, the driver of the 2000 Audi A6 was southbound on Pemberwick Road when the car crossed the double yellow line and struck a car parked on the east shoulder of the road. The parked car was pushed into a second parked car before the Audi mounted a stone wall and came to rest atop the wall, between two trees, Brown said.

The unidentified driver and passenger had to be extricated from the wreck — that happened about 10 p.m. Nov. 25 in front 114 Pemberwick Rd. — by Greenwich Fire Department crews. Greenwich Emergency Medical Service treated the pair at the scene for unspecified injuries before taking them to Stamford Hospital, according to Brown.

Brown said the crash remains under investigation and that officers obtained a search warrant to obtain the results of chemical analysis of blood samples taken from the driver.

According to police and fire radio transmissions, the road was closed in the area of Moshier Street for a period of time.
