Suspects charged with drug paraphernalia possession; failure to appear in court.

 

A passenger in a car whose driver was stopped for an expired registration and broken brake light, was arrested by Greenwich Police on charges of interfering with police and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a police report, during the motor vehicle stop on Layette Place and Volunteer Lane, officers could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the car.

Eric A. Goldstein, 20, of 3 Nassau Pl., Greenwich was arrested at 1:20 a.m. March 24. He was freed after posting $100 bond and is scheduled to appear April 1 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Maury Rosenberg, 64, of 1525 E. Putnam Ave., Old Greenwich, was arrested at 4:50 p.m. March 25, on a second-degree failure to appear in court charge.

According to a Greenwich Police report, Rosenberg was named in a court-ordered arrest warrant for allegedly not appearing in court March 19 on a case that apparently dates back to September 2011. Details on that case were not provided.

Rosenberg posted a $2,500 bond and scheduled to appear April 1 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Police are investigating the reported theft of a watch and cufflinks from a Knollwood Drive home. The jewelry, with an unspecified value, was reported missing just before 8 a.m. March 25.
