Greenwich Police Were Busy Over Labor Day Holiday

72 hours: 306 calls, 106 vehicle stops, one DUI arrest, 8 accident investigations

From midnight on Friday, Aug. 31 through midnight, Monday, Sept. 2 Greenwich Police answered a total of 306 calls, officials say, including:

  • 106 motor vehicle stops
  • one DUI arrest
  • eight accident investigations
  • There were no fatalities in Greenwich, according to Greenwich Police.

    In Westchester, a Cos Cob man, Bruno Vaccarezza, 19, perished in an accident on the Sprain Brook Parkway at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday in Greenburgh, officials say.
