Greenwich Student Faces Weapons Charge

A 16-year-old Greenwich student faces a weapons charge after a teacher confiscated a set of improvised brass knuckles was from him.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the student was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon after he was spotted with the device at Greenwich High School on Oct. 16.

The school's Dean of Students confiscated a "possible makeshift brass knuckles constructed out of copper wiring wrapped around a cigarette lighter," according to the report.

The boy was released and will appear in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford.
