Greenwich Woman Charged with Assault Following Domestic Dispute

Greenwich police reports for Friday, August 26.

A 23-year-old female resident of North Water Street was arrested and charged with assault, strangulation, breach of peace and disorderly conduct on August 25 after she reportedly strangled her mother and pushed her head into a wall during an argument.

Police said they were called to the residence on a report of an altercation. Police said on arrival they learned that the 23-year-old had gotten into an argument with her mother that had escalated into a fight. The 23 year-old was held on bond and arraigned on Aug. 26.

Kimberly King, 49, of Armstrong Court was arrested and charged with driving under the influence on August 26. Police said an officer on patrol observed King’s car cross the double line on Holly Hill Lane at about 12:16 a.m. Upon stopping the vehicle the officer detected an odor of alcohol on King’s breath and noticed she had slurred speech. King reportedly failed a sobriety test. She reportedly declined a urine test. She was also charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to maintain lane. King posted bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 8.

Sonya D. Walker, 29, of Brooklyn N.Y. was arrested via warrant on August 25 for failure to appear. Police said the warrant out of Middletown stemmed from a CT Dept. of Public Safety Traffic Division incident. Walker posted a $350 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 14 in Middletown.

Anthony Spell, 53, of Bronx N.Y. was arrested and charged with prescription fraud, criminal attempt to possess a controlled substance and forgery on August 25. Police said they were called to CVS, 1239 E. Putnam Avenue, on a report of an individual trying to pass a forged prescription at about 3:43 p.m. On arrival, police determined that Spell was trying to pass a forged prescription for the painkiller oxycodone. Spell was held on a $5,000 bond and is to be arraigned at a later date.
