Greenwich Woman Faces DWI Charge

Driver accused of nearly hitting Greenwich Police cruiser.

A Greenwich woman accused of nearly hitting a Greenwich Police cruiser was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge early Thursday.

According to a Greenwich Police report, Hilary L. Bernard, 51, who gave an address of 606 Indian Field Rd., was driving on Bruce Park Avenue when she "crossed the double yellow line and almost struck a police vehicle" just before 1 a.m. April 19.

The investigating officer said he smelled an alcoholic-type beverage "emanating from Bernard when she spoke." She also is accused of failing field sobriety tests.

Bernard also was ticketed for failure to signal a turn.

She posted $250 bond and is scheduled to appear May 3 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A Cos Cob man was arrested on two counts of second-degree failure to appear in court in connection with two separate arrests.

Stevan S. Sreckovic, 42, who gave an address of 115 River Rd., surrendered to Greenwich Police at about 7:30 p.m. April 19. According to a police report, one charge involves Sreckovic being accused of failing to appear in court for a domestic violence incident in Wilton. The second charge involves his apparent failure to appear in court on motor vehicle charges.

Sreckovic was released after posting $3,500 bond. Court date information was included in the report.

Zofia Aldona Robb, 47, who gave an address of 36 Route 37, New Fairfield, surrendered to Greenwich Police who obtained an arrest warrant charging her with third-degree larceny.

The charge stems from an incident on Feb. 23 on Greenwich Avenue. However, the police report did not detail the incident.

Robb was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear April 25 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
