Juvenile Busted for Failing to Appear on Drug Possession Charges

Information supplied by Greenwich Police and does not indicate guilt or convictions.

A 17-year-old local girl was arrested on a violation of probation charge which Greenwich Police said stemmed from failing to appear in court on drug-related charges.

The teen, who surrendered to police on Saturday afternoon, was charged with probation violation. The original charges date back to March 2010 when she was arrested on marijuana and illegal possession of cigarettes possession charges, as well as a 2nd-degree failure to appear in court charge on the drug incident.

She was released after posting $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear July 18 in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford.
