Man Held on Harassment, Restraining Order Violations Charges


A man faces several charges stemming from a domestic violence incident for which Greenwich Police obtained two arrest warrants.

According to police reports, Jose Marrero, 33, whose address is the Shelter for the Homeless at 597 Pacific St., Stamford, was arrested when he appeared in state Superior Court in Stamford on Oct. 11.

One warrant charged Marrero with four counts each of second-degree harassment and violation of a restraining order. Bond on those charges was set at $50,000. He was assigned an Oct. 15 date on those charges.

The second warrant charged Marrero with one count of violation of probation stemming from a Feb. 2, 2012 incident. Bond on that charge was set at $30,000. His court date on that charge is Oct. 18.

He was unable to post either bond, according to the reports.
