Missing Teen May Be in New York

Crystle Davis, the 15-year-old Greenwich girl who has been missing since July 14, is believed to be in New York state and "not in imminent danger," according to police.

Sgt. Mark Zuccerella, head of the Greenwich Police Special Victims Section, said Tuesday that the teen has been in "contact with third-party people ... but not her grandmother." Davis apparently ran away from the Ann Street home where she lived with her grandmother following an argument nearly two weeks ago.

Police have said Davis, who has run away from home at least four times, apparently slipped out a window sometime during the overnight of July 13. .

"We are still looking around for her. We think she's still in the Bronx or Mount Vernon area ... that's where she was the last two times she ran away," Zuccerella said. "We don't think she's in imminent danger. We're trying our best to find her but it's hard to look for her when she's in another jurisdiction because we're dependent upon another department."

Davis is described as a black female, about 4-foot 11, weighing 107 pounds. "Crystyle has brown hair extensions in the back of her hair, but it is shorter in front. She may be wearing brown moccasin shoes," according to a flier distributed by Greenwich Police.
