Complicated Order? Man Throws Food at Drive-Thru Worker

Unusual police activity from around Fairfield County.

A middle school girl in Monroe reported her cell phone stolen from her gym locker, then police used a Verizon tracking device to lead them to the alleged thief, another female student.

A Middletown man accused of threatening his ex-girlfriend from Monroe reportedly told a Monroe police officer to "Come and get me," before hanging up the phone on him. Police later "got him" and charged him with harassment and threatening.

Brazen thieves broke into a secure area of Greenwich Acura this week and stole the wheels and tires from six cars parked in the lot, according to Greenwich Police.

A Norwalk man who spent time behind bars on a conviction of dealing crack cocaine is going back to prison — this time for distributing drugs while on probation and, according to court documents, having a stash of them at his house while out on bond.

A 30-year-old Orange resident was charged with DUI after police reportedly found her slumped over the steering wheel, sleeping, with the engine still running.

Police arrested both men allegedly involved in an accident in Brookfield — one for being at fault for the crash, as well as the victim, who fled the scene before police arrived.

A man and a juvenile were arrested after a neighbor allegedly saw them breaking into a Trumbull home this week.

Also, a man wearing sunglasses at night was charged with driving under the influence and a clerk at Macy's is accused of stealing a customer's credit card and giving it to someone else to make purchases.

A New Canaan man was charged in a December 2012 hit-and-run incident where he allegedly struck a woman who pulled out in front of him while he had the right of way, but allegedly fled the scene before police arrived. According to authorities, an "offline search" by police at the DMV led them to the only vehicle in all of Fairfield County matching the description of the fleeing vehicle—and could have been the only car to have left the grill behind police found at the scene.

A Stamford man who allegedly led police on a brief chase before causing minor injuries to two officers was arrested on multiple charges, including driving while intoxication. He smiled for the camera at the station.

Apparently angry that his McDonald's order had been messed up, a Fairfield man allegedly tossed his unwanted food through the drive-thru window at the fast food chain's Black Rock Turnpike location, striking the restaurant manager in the chest. The man was promptly arrested.
