Resident Faces Larceny, Criminal Impersonation Charges


A Greenwich man is facing larceny and criminal impersonation charges in connection with the purchase of a bicycle at a downtown Greenwich shop.

According to a Greenwich Police report, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Wander M. Debrito, 30, of 51 Oakridge St., who was arrested on Feb. 16.

Debrito is accused of using false credential to buy a bicycle from a shop on Amogerone Crossway on Aug. 14, 2013. He was charged with third-degree larceny, illegal use of a credit card, receiving goods or services obtained through the illegal use of a credit card and criminal impersonation.

Debrito was unable to post a $5,000 bond. He was scheduled to appear Feb. 24 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
