Teen Charged with Sexual Assault of 10-Year-Old

Suspect and victim lived in same home.

A Greenwich teen has been arrested on a felony sexual assault charge involving a 10-year-old girl.

In a prepared statement, Greenwich Police said the suspect, who was 15 at the time, had “inappropriate sexual contact with the victim” who was 10 at the time of the incident. According to the statement, suspect and the victim “lived in the same residence.”

The teen, who has not been identified by police, surrendered Sunday to police who obtained an arrest warrant April 5 from the Juvenile Matters division of state Superior Court in Stamford. Because the suspect was a juvenile at the time of the assault, he was arrested with a juvenile status, according to the police statement.
