The fight took place in a Greewich park.

A pair of Greenwich teens received minor injuries and misdemeanor summons in connection with a fight in a town park.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the pair were charged following the April 16 incident in a town pocket park on South Water Street and William Street in the Byram neighborhood of town.

The 17-year-old suspect, who wasn't identified because of his age, is accused of assaulting an 18-year-old about 4:30 p.m. April 16. Police found the teen without a shirt and blood on his arms and a cut on his neck. What precipitated the fight wasn't detailed in the report, however, a police spokesman said, "A young woman was present but was not injured or charged."

The 17-year-old was issued a juvenile summons charging him with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace. He was released pending an April 29 appearance in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford.

The 18-year-old was issued a misdemeanor summons for second-degree breach of peace and released pending an April 23 appearance in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Both received minor injuries and were treated and released from Greenwich Hospital, according to the report.
