Teens Face Robbery Charges for Summer Attack in Greenwich

Two teens are in custody, each facing a second-degree robbery charge stemming from an incident last summer in which a trio of teens were attacked, according to Greenwich Police.

The male suspects — a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old from Port Chester, NY — surrendered to police on Nov. 26, according to a police report.

A trio of teens were walking home from a party in the Chickahominy neighborhood of Greenwich on July 27 when they were attacked from behind by another trio of teens. The victims were knocked down and unspecified property was stolen from them, according to the report. One victim suffered minor injuries.

Police were able to obtain arrest warrants for the suspects who surrendered at police headquarters, with their parents.

Both suspects were held at the Bridgeport Detention Center to await a Dec. 3 appearance in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford.
