Town Employee Dies of Injuries Suffered in Motorcycle Crash
James McGee was critically injured Friday afternoon when he was involved in a crash in Stamford.
As Stamford Police seek more witnesses to a Friday afternoon crash motorcycle crash, comes news that the cyclist — on his way home from work as an arborist for the Town of Greenwich — has died from his injuries.
According to The Advocate, James McGee, 48, of 62 Bungalow Park, Stamford, was driving his 2013 Yamaha motorcycle south on Harvard Avenue at 4 p.m. June 27 when a Ford pickup truck turned in front him.
McGee was reportedly on his way home from his job as an arborist for the Town of Greenwich when the crash occurred.
McGee died of his injuries Sunday, Stamford Police told the newspaper. Police Sgt. Andrew Gallagher of the department's Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad, said investigators are expected to forward their reports to the Stamford State's Attorney's office so prosecutors can determine whether criminal charges will be filed against the driver of the pickup.
