Woman Faces Charges She Harassed Greenwich Family

The charges stem from allegations that she followed a Greenwich family in their car and then kicked and punched their vehicle.

A woman is facing several charges following what Greenwich Police describe as a harassment case against a Greenwich family.

Police say they were called to a Hartford Avenue residence shortly before 4 p.m. June 1 by a man who said he and his family were followed by his former girlfriend to their home. Once at the home, the woman is accused of getting out of her car and kicked and punching the victim's vehicle, damaging it, according to the police report.

When the victims threatened to call police, the suspect, identified as Laila Sahrauoi, 38, of Seaside Avenue, Stamford, reportedly fled. Later that night, officers found Sahrauoi and arrested her on charges of third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree breach of peace, driving without a license, driving with intent to harass and three counts of risk of injury to a minor. The last charge stems from the victim's three children being in his vehicle.

Sahrauoi was able to post a $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear June 2 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
