There's Team Dining in Cos Cob

The GHS hockey team will be 'chili-ing' it out at Joey B's to raise money for the team on Thursday.

The Greenwich High School boys hockey team will be hanging out in Cos Cob Thursday afternoon and evening.

And they'll be doing it for a good cause. The Cardinals will be working the counters and waiting tables, serving up the popular chili, burgers, sandwiches and paninis at Joey B's Famous Chili Hub as a benefit for the team.

According to Dominick Delfino, owner of Joey B's, he'll be donating 20 percent of all sales and all tips collected between 3 and 8 p.m. Jan. 16 to the team.

Delfino said he held a similar benefit at the 118 River Rd. Ext. diner last fall for the GHS water polo team. Sales and tips netted the team about $1,200, Delfino said.

GHS hockey coach Bob Russel could not be reached for comment.
