Greenwich's Sean Obi Breaks 1,000-Point Mark

Greens Farms Academy senior Sean Obi, of Greenwich, has broken the 1,000-point mark in basketball.
The Rice University-bound Obi reached the milestone by a hitting a short jumper on the left baseline with 5:03 remaining in the Dragons' 102-40 drubbing of the Chase Collegiate Highlanders last week.

Obi is on pace to break the school record of 1,279 points set by Dan Chase ('11). He's also expected to become the first player in school history with more than 1,000 points with 1,000 rebounds. As of Feb. 2, Obi has scored 1,160 point and snagged 960 rebounds.
After the Feb. 1 game against Hamden Hall, Obi needs another 109 points to tie Chase's record. And he is only 25 away from 1,000 career rebounds.
