If the weather gods are on the side of golfers, the town's only public The Griffith E. Harris Golf Course, “The Griff”, will open for play on Tuesday, April 1.
Of course, the opening is weather permitting. On April 1, the first tee time will be 7:30 a.m. Frost delays are possible, call ahead 203-531-6944.
Reminder to all members, in order to make a tee time reservation, the 2014 membership fee must be paid.

The 18-hole, 6,512-yard golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones is a par 71 course that opened 50 years ago at 1300 King St. There's also The Fairways restaurant that's open to the public.
