Greenwich Historical Society, Neighbor
- Greenwich, CT
The Historical Society contributes immeasurably to the cultural vitality of Greenwich and serves as a bridge from the past to the future by offering innovative programs, exhibitions and preservation initiatives.
Its Bush-Holley Historic Site consists of the National Historic Landmark Bush-Holley House, an extensive research library and archives, the Vanderbilt Education Center and the 1905 Storehouse Gallery with rotating exhibitions and a museum shop.
The landscape and gardens are restored to circa 1900, the era when the Holley Boarding House, along with Cos Cob village and harbor, was home to one of the first American Impressionist art colonies.
The Historical Society is noted for lectures, hands-on family programs, award-winning education programs, docent-led tours of Bush-Holley House Museum and live storytelling programs.
