Holiday Puppet Show

Performance by No Strings Puppet Theater at the Greenwich Historical Society on December 8, 2012.

This year’s popular holiday show at the Historical Society features “Wasabi, A Dragon’s Tale,” a modern-minded fairytale by No Strings Puppet Theatre.

Princess Aja happily contemplates her upcoming marriage to prince Olaf until a fire-breathing Wasabi swoops from the sky, reduces the palace to ashes and carries off her betrothed. Eleven exquisitely crafted marionettes perform amidst sumptuous storybook scenery. Will the spunky princess out wit nemesis Wasabi to save the day? A transforming sprite, a fashionable knight and a seven-foot dragon help to weave this newfangled fable, where the stage has no boundaries.
The hour-long performance will begin with a sing-along and will be followed by a question and answer session where everyone gets a chance to a see the puppeteer’s craft close up. No Strings' Dan Baginski and Barbara Paulson have been master puppeteers for 15 years.
